A difficult email and a routine upload may occupy the same half hour while affecting you very differently. Adding an energy estimate helps prevent a calendar that looks possible in minutes but is impossible in concentration, creativity or emotional effort.
Try this today: Mark one upcoming task as low, medium or high energy and schedule accordingly.
