Confusing file names create friction after the product leaves the sales page.
File names are navigation once the delivery page is gone. Use plain words, consistent order and version information so a downloaded folder still explains itself weeks later, when the customer may no longer remember how the contents were introduced.
Try this today: Rename files so their purpose and order are obvious outside the delivery folder.
Keep in mind: Good delivery continues at the customer’s desktop.
