Broad feedback requests produce polite answers rather than usable information.
‘What do you think?’ asks the other person to choose the subject, standard and level of detail. A focused question gives them something concrete to remember and makes a candid answer feel helpful rather than like a judgment on the whole business.
Try this today: Ask one customer or subscriber about a specific step, choice or difficulty.
Keep in mind: Narrow questions are easier to answer honestly.
