Daily Focus – Day 35: Protect the Transition
Part of Daily Focus: 365 Practical Notes for Solo and Small Business Owners.
Moving directly from one demanding task to another leaves no room to reset attention.
Attention does not reset the instant a meeting ends or a draft is closed. A brief pause allows you to record loose thoughts, move your body and enter the next task without carrying the previous one into it.
Try this today: Add a five-minute buffer after one concentrated work block today.
Keep in mind: A short transition can prevent the previous task from following you into the next.
