An abandoned cart does not always need another discount or countdown. Review whether price, format, license, access or trust remains unclear at that stage, then improve the information before increasing the pressure applied to the same uncertainty.
Try this today: List the questions a buyer might still have at the cart stage and answer the most plausible one.
